The Regulated Member and the College entered into a Complaint Resolution Agreement (CRA).
The College received a written complaint about conduct and improper billing practices of the Regulated Member. The complaint involved a Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) contract and services between April 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021. The Regulated Member managed the billing of such services of the client for the client’s family.
The Regulated Member acknowledges she engaged in improper billing of an occupational therapist, a speech-language pathologist and an aide for the client.
The Regulated Member acknowledges that she did not adequately and/or transparently describe her fee and billing schedule to the parent of the client.
The Regulated Member acknowledges she failed to obtain informed consent of the parent of the client, either written or verbal, to her fee and billing schedule.
The Regulated Member has agreed to resign from the profession of speech-language pathology. The College has accepted the resignation of Susan Hall from the profession and therefore she will not be registered and have an active practice permit as a speech-language pathologist effective January 1, 2024.
