ACSLPA is looking for regulated members to join the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) Committee. On this committee you will assist with:
- Conducting targeted reviews of existing and new ACSLPA key College documents, policies, and procedures, incorporating principles of inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility.
- Providing input into the development of inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility resources for both the College and its’ regulated members.
- Maintaining an awareness of current issues related to inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility impacting both the professions and professional regulation; proposing ideas on how the College may address them within its mandate.
Current issues on the IDEA committee’s 2024 work plan include indigenous cultural safety, considerations related to ableism, a review of our therapeutic boundaries guideline, and a review of resources for supervised practice.
