I received my Master’s in Communicative Disorders from University of Western Ontario and my Master’s in Business Administration from the Haskayne School of Business at University of Calgary. I am currently employed at Wetaskiwin Hospital and Care Centre as a Speech-Language Pathologist. My interests lie in swallowing, quality of life measures, and equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) within the field of Speech-Language Pathology. I am effective in collaborating with teams, clients, stakeholders, senior management and key decision maker to facilitate strategic and tactical planning for quality improvement programs, evaluations, root cause analysis and interventions.
I am a homegrown Calgarian educated with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences (Sociology and Psychology Minor) from the University of Calgary and a Doctorate of Audiology from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. During my doctoral studies I was immersed in numerous clinic experiences such as: hospitals, ENT clinics, private practice, educational audiology, pediatric SLP clinic and an internship with AHS Audiology Services. I have worked in private practice with Calgary Hearing Aid & Audiology since 2016, where I excel in diagnostics and treatment for pediatrics (5+) and adults. For a 2-year period I worked closely with otolaryngologists at the Calgary Ear Centre as the primary hearing care provider and was responsible for managing this clinic.
